At the dawn of the dark age holding in hand the keys of Sion
The pontiff of sacred empire had countless doors to unlock
Many were the theasures scattered on the blessed grounds
Thus the kingdom fell in a maelstrom of strife and plunder
Inquisitions spread over the hallowed realm of Canaan
Oppressing with ferocity hundreds of places of worship
Surrounded by the amber waves of the perpetual wasteland
A fortified temple of stone was besieged by the holy knights
Keeper of empyrean mysteries hidden in the sea of the sands
Was overwhelmed by the cold steel and the judgment flames
In the dephts of the underground faraway from a mortal sight
Ancient parchments were kept on the altar of forgotten time
Shattered the gate of the sanctum raising their swords to the sky
The cavalry broke into courtyard followed by a frightful war cry
Useless were the prayers of surrender before their mighty passage
No living soul was spared from the red crossed demons of carnage
The pyres were lit at the nighfall painting the dunes with vermilion
The dead were tossed into ravenous flames turning to wake of ashes
The halls covered with blood were ravaged for scriptures and gold
The darkness fell upon the temple leaving behind the scent of doom
Nestled in the stillness of dungeon the altar of the lost firmament
Was carried out to be conveyed till the heart of the imperial land

Through the waters of the sea in between the realms
Templar vessels plied the waves of primordial routes
Mighty wardens of the rood stained with deadly sins
Were returning to their land from a bloody crusade
Cradled by the winds of north and the foaming tides
Nimble ships touched the shores of almighty empire
Trumpets resounded at the court of the seven hills
Hailing the glorious arrival of the errant knights

Under the vigil of solemn cathedrals
Built on the remants of pagan legacy
Keepers of red cross entered the city
Lead by a council of sacred judgment
Valuable gifts were offered to synod
As supreme pledge of endless loyalty
Banquet was held to honor the deeds
Of noble champions in promissed land
Sudden frost pervaded the air of the council chamber
Celebrations were disrupted by a wicked restlessness
Shrouded in despondency the pontiff held in his hands
The ancient scrolls of evil brought by holy campaign
A relic of such magnitude could not remain uncovered
Therefore the order was given to conceal it far away
A convoy was prepared to fulfill the volition of synod
Which departed for a mission as the dark fell on earth

Impetuous was the river that flowed in the primeval valley
Glowing lightning shined beyond the flourishing woodland
An unceasing storm rang the echoes of the battles of yore
Voices from a distant past resounded of the Etrurian lineage
Of the dusk of their dinasty and the dawn of the first empire
The fall of the throne by the hand of the warlords of north
And then a new rebirth under the wicked banner of the cross

In the dead of the night under a relentless autumnal rainfall
A convoy was opening the way through the Blackwater Valley
From the ethernal city they came following the will of synod
To conceal the ancestral scrolls ripped from the hand of God
The envoys of the temple driven by the untamable force of will
Under the gaze of imposing castles, guardians tempered by steel
At the end of their journey an abbey appeared in a glare of light
Solemn like a queen awaiting the return of her faithful knights
Majestic and noble the abbacy reigned over the valley
With evil scriptures veiled beyond the walls of stone
As decades passed through the endless streams of time
A black cloud of death rose up above the eastern skies

Hundred years have flowed above the golden dunes of the sacred ground
Under deception of a rotten church and an iron fist of the imperial rule
As the shadow pass the days a lethal threat has risen from a distant east
Like a dreadful omen of doom striking with the force of a thunderstorm
Kingdom of the heaven buried through the sands
Wounded by a struggle brought by mortal hands
Garden of the knowledge granted to the chosen
Like a boundless ocean within the aeons frozen
Lords of the desert wrapped in black clothes
Subdued the infidels in front of their passage
Thirsty for blood like a pack of old wolves
In search of a prey to devour in the carnage
Be without fear in the face of your enemies
Be brave and upright that God may love thee
Speak only truth even if it leads you to death
Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong...
...that is your oath
Guided by the solemn bond engraved in hearts and souls
The temple knights were gathered in front of city walls
Faithful to their coat of arms and to the art of warfare
They gazed into the distant skies evoking one last prayer
Thus began the decisive battle for a new supremacy over the holy land
Mighty warriors clashed into a piercing vortex of the merciless steel
The besiege of empyrean city lasted for twelve days in a grasp of death
This event was remembered by many as a final page of the great crusade

Tarnishing the sight of the heaven
Under the sign of a crescent moon
A bloody domain was being forged
Winds of death were blowing from the orient
A golden caliphate resting on the fecund soil
Cradle of the myths lasting thousand nights
Standing on the dunes amid two primal rivers
Like a vision of oasis through the arid desert
Fatherland of nations lost in the seas of time
In the name of prophet and the pitch black stone
Legions of the crescent gained the sacred throne
Servants of five teachings and a verdant banner
Crushed the infidels with a strength of hammer
Let the vengeance drive our blades till one last breath be exhaled
Let the thoughts of the disbelievers be pervaded by the repentance
Let the black stone guide our souls through the portal of the God
Let the teachings of great prophet be unleashed across the world
May the Koran be our beacon in this ocean filled with sin
May the all-seeing eye of Hamsa lead us to the path of win
Among the solemn halls of the perpetual city
The craving of invaders turned into a madness
Inflaming their minds with a lust of conquest
Beneath the sun eclipsed by the palm of Hamsa
The sultan of the desert stared at the horizon
Toward a land of north ruled by the holy cross

Warlords of the crescent arrived from beyond the sea
Bringers of destruction were challenging the empire
Starting one last bloodshed for the world supremacy
Grim woods were dyed in crimson as the torches lit together
Lighting up the landscape with the glare of the funeral pyre
Mountain peaks were shaken at the charge of the war drums
Two colossal armies were about to clash at the gates of hell
Soon the horn was heard like an echo from beyond the grave
Rotten corpses danced in a mortal embrace of freezing steel
Blood was poured like an aged wine into the chalice of Death
Which toasted complacent for the requiem of the dark ages

Ancient scrolls of the oblivion were consumed becoming dust
Infernal eclipse ascended obscuring the dying sunlight

Thunder bolts were falling over the towering castles
Demonic sacrifice was summoned from the blazing abyss
Out of the portals of darkness the hideous fiends appeared
On the battlefield they feasted by devouring human flesh
Four horsemen plowed the skies towards this land of evil
Resonating the seven trumpets of forthcoming apocalypse

Wrapping the bleeding landscape in the shroud of sorrow
Weeping moon rose above the shades of ancient mountains
Revealing an apocalyptic painting of a ghastly decadence
What was summoned by the scrolls of the primal sacrifice
Vanished beyond the gateways of the everlasting darkness
In the deafening silence which reigned on the battlefield
A flock of mournful ravens hovered over a bleak skyline

Foretelling an impeding downfall of the corrupted synod
Keepers of the afterlife pursued their mortuary journey
Toward the eastern seas where templar ships once sailed
Under their somber gazes there was only scorched earth
Ravaged by a lucid madness born from the boundless war
Amid the deadly storms that raged ahead of their passage
Harvesters of faithless souls reached the promissed land
Dreary bells of the perpetual city rang for one last time
Closing this final chapter in the sign of Stygian Watchers
